As part of this diverse group of advisors, Aaron and Keri help ensure we remain aligned with our core values and responsive to the needs of those we serve.
Bio
Keri grew up in California and has always had a tender spot for children. She was the oldest child among her siblings as well as her cousins. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and enjoys reading and teaching young minds the love of reading. Aaron grew up in many places, finally attending and finishing high school in California. From a young age, he had a firm goal to become a physician specializing in pediatric care. Keri and Aaron met at Brigham Young University, Hawaii, and both graduated there.
From there, they moved to the island of Grenada with their growing family, where Aaron attended St. George’s University. While in Grenada for medical school, they met many wonderful people, including young Dr. Salisha Allard-Blaisdell. They learned of her passion for helping children feel loved and provided for and eagerly offered their love and guidance to the young Dr. Salisha.
For several months, Keri worked with one of her professors, Dr. Keith Peterson, and his wife, Carol Peterson, to obtain supplementary English assignments for the young Dr. Salisha to review and study in preparation for college in the US. Keri and Aaron played a pivotal role in supporting the young Dr. Salisha in pursuing her college degree in the US and eventually getting adopted by Keri’s parents, Ken and Shara Blaisdell.
Upon completing medical school in Grenada, Keri and Aaron lived in several communities where Aaron worked as a pediatrician. They are grateful for all the love and support from their families and are excited to be involved with the Shara Foundation.
