Estica Frederick, a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia, epitomizes excellence in patient care. Graduating from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in January 2009, Estica's journey in healthcare is marked by dedication, leadership, and a commitment to advocacy.

With strong clinical and critical thinking skills, Estica adeptly meets the needs of her patients while advocating for them with respect, compassion, and professionalism. She is renowned as a team player, reliable colleague, and a dedicated advocate for patient quality and experience.

Estica actively participates in the unit's performance improvement projects, notably serving as the Pressure Injury Lead Nurse. She also contributes to initiatives focused on enhancing patient and staff experiences, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. In her role as a preceptor, Estica provides invaluable support and guidance to new hires, ensuring they effectively integrate their academic learnings with organizational guidelines and policies. Recently, she assumed the role of charge nurse for the unit, overseeing daily operations and addressing issues efficiently and safely.

Estica's dedication to professional growth is evident through her membership in the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and her role as a charge nurse overseeing daily operations. She actively contributes to the Pressure Injury Prevalence and Skin Care Council, supporting staff and promoting excellence in performance.
