Bio
Donika Dianne Byng is a dedicated clinical therapist and the esteemed founder of Serenitas Mental Health Services. Graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University - Hawaii in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology, she embarked on a journey of empowering others through mental health advocacy. Her commitment to excellence led her to further her education in 2019, earning a Masters of Social Work (Clinical emphasis) from BYU Provo, where she graduated at the top of her class and was honored with the Ariel S. Balif award.
Licensed as a clinical social worker and school social worker in the state of Utah, Donika's expertise extends beyond individual practice. She serves as the mental health director for the GK Folks Foundation, a US-based non-profit organization, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing mental health initiatives for African immigrants and those in the diaspora.
Guided by the principle of "lift where you stand," Donika channels her passion into supporting individuals and groups on their wellness journeys. She specializes in group work with youths, recognizing the transformative impact it can have on vulnerable individuals. A devoted mother and beach enthusiast, Donika finds joy in both her professional pursuits and personal life, embodying compassion and resilience in all endeavors.
